Speaker Information

SEMINAR SPEAKERS:
One (1) complimentary conference registration will be provided, which entitles you to attend all seminars, parties and events (except for specialty courses) free of charge. One (1) night hotel room will also be provided at the conference hotel. All speakers must fill out the convention and hotel registration forms to receive their complimentary items. If you plan to arrive early or depart later, please fill out the hotel room reservation form for all nights and USPTA will transfer one (1) night of your hotel stay from your bill to its master account.

NOTE:  If your presentation is sponsored, your sponsor and not USPTA will be responsible for the speaker’s hotel expense as stated above. 

SPECIALTY COURSE SPEAKERS:
One (1) complimentary conference registration will be provided, which entitles you to attend all seminars, parties and events including one (1) specialty course free of charge.  Two (2) nights' hotel room will also be provided at the conference hotel. All speakers must fill out the convention and hotel registration forms to receive their complimentary items. If you plan to arrive early or depart later, please fill out the hotel room reservation form for all nights and USPTA will transfer two (2) nights of your hotel stay from your bill to its master account.

Specialty course speakers are entitled to some travel reimbursement (see below), as well as a speaker honorarium. The check for the honorarium will be included in your registration packet. Travel reimbursement will not be disbursed until after convention.

NOTE:  If your presentation is sponsored, USPTA will not be responsible for the hotel or travel expenses as stated above. 

SPONSORED SPEAKERS:
We are honored to include you on the conference agenda and are extremely grateful to your sponsor for its sponsorship of your presentation. In appreciation, please accept a complimentary conference registration, which entitles you to attend all seminars, parties and events free of charge (except for specialty courses). Your sponsor will be acknowledged in the conference program and in your introduction.

OUTLINES & HANDOUTS:
Convention attendees will receive a notebook as part of their registration package, which will include the outlines and handouts from the seminars. In addition, they will receive any outlines of the specialty courses they have preregistered for.

Seminars: While we may have your outline already, if you make any changes to what was previously submitted, please resubmit the updated outline. All updated outlines submitted must arrive at USPTA Headquarters no later than Monday, June 17 (if not, USPTA will use the outline it has or leave the area blank), and all handouts being submitted for distribution at your presentation must arrive at USPTA Headquarters no later than Monday, July 8.  USPTA reserves the right to edit the submitted materials.

Specialty courses: We will need your updated course outline and any handouts/exhibits to arrive at USPTA Headquarters no later than Monday, July 8. USPTA reserves the right to edit the submitted materials.

• All printed materials submitted must be received at USPTA by either mail or electronic mail. Faxed copies are not acceptable.  Please do not staple your material. 

• Please try to limit your handout materials to two pages. Handout information must be printed in black ink on 8.5-by-11 paper.  Materials should not be submitted on a copy of your company letterhead.  Please avoid dark background colors, as they will not reproduce well in print.

• If you wish to offer additional material to your audience, you will be responsible for duplicating sufficient copies and delivering them to your presentation, at your own expense.  We recommend you prepare at least 60 copies of your material. Any commercial material may only be distributed at the end of your presentation.

• All handout materials that you will be preparing and submitting for distribution at USPTA’s World Conference may be used for resale to USPTA members in the future.  This confirms that upon delivery you hereby grant permission to USPTA to reprint the materials and that you have no objection, as the author, to the release of the information and that USPTA’s actions will not violate any copyright laws.

BIOGRAPHY AND PHOTO:
Speakers must submit a biography and head-and-shoulders photo by Monday, June 18, if you haven't already submitted them. Failure to submit a bio and photo will result in a listing of only your name in the conference program.
